INNOCENCE
a state of purity, unawareness, or moral simplicity An absence of guilt, corruption, or worldly knowledge. It is most commonly associated with childhood—when perception is fresh, trust is natural, and the world is encountered with open curiosity and unguarded wonder. Innocence carries a sense of vulnerability and sincerity. It assumes goodness in others and often fails to anticipate deceit, malice, or complexity. It may be seen in individuals who, despite their circumstances, retain a sense of hope, kindness, or unshaken ideals. Innocence remains a reminder of our longing for goodness, truth, and a simpler, kinder way of being.
